I am just curious as to what folks are seeing in other areas of the world. I am in the Phoenix, AZ area, and I am seeing many folks from many different countries receiving care in our facility. I am working hard with the staff to understand and appreciate the diversity. Staff have been amazingly receptive to this.
One area that I have found interesting is that the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgendered community does not feel the need for any support groups specific to their community. Many of these folks have said they have found nothing but love and acceptance in the mainstream support groups. I think that is pretty awesome, especially with everything else going on in the world.
Any response are welcome!
